Where we were disappointed in Chasing Mavericks, excoriate Alex Cross, really enjoy Cloud Atlas, and wonder what the hell is going on with Paranormal Activity.
I have stumbled into doing movie reviews. No, not here on MissElany, but officially, for an actual media outlet. It’s super fun, and I get paid in movies. It is an actual geek fantasy of mine come true! Cool beans. I’m going to start posting the podcasts here, if you’d like to take a listen.
In the meantime:
Argo: Argo see this movie.
Cloud Atlas: Big screen it. Don’t wait for netflixstreaming. It’s gorgeous and captivating. Unless you don’t like that sort of thing - you know who you are. The makeup, btw, is simply amazing.
Chasing Mavericks: Do you surf? Do you have the hots for surfers? Then see it. Otherwise, meh.
Flight: I liked it, but then I changed my mind. Wait for redbox or netflix.
